Derby Road

We had the joy of renovating this Georgian house for a Create Thirty Eight client. We wanted to retain as many of the original features as possible and retained its original doors and architraves while incorporating a modern edge in the colour palette and artwork. The key is to strike a balance between preserving the historic charm of the property and introducing contemporary elements that complement the existing features. Georgian architecture is known for its elegance and classic design elements. We chose a modern color palette for the walls, ceilings, and woodwork with strong black and white patterns appearing in the artwork, tiles and headboard fabric. Neutral tones and strong colours worked well to create a fresh and contemporary atmosphere while allowing the original features to stand out.
